About the Opportunity
We are looking for multiple Aircraft Overhaul Technicians to join our team on a full-time basis in Kent, WA.
The successful candidates will support the overhaul and repair of aircraft propeller systems to airworthiness. This includes evaluation, disassembly, inspection, assembly, and test as per the manual, service bulletin, and directives.
Your more typical responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Disassemble and tear down propeller blade assemblies
- Setup and use manual machining equipment, hand tools, utilize precision measurement tools (micrometers, indicators, calipers), hydraulic presses, and plastic media blast equipment
- Perform light maintenance of equipment as needed
- Read drawings and technical manuals
- Shot peen, riveting, grit blasting, repairing composites, and using various types of lathes and grinders
- Metalworking operations such as grinding, drilling, polishing, and paint removal (aerospace parts, automotive, surface finishing)
More About You
To qualify, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 2+ years of related mechanical experience, preferably in aerospace, or aircraft maintenance.
The following skills and experiences would be strong assets to this position:
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and requirements
- Military aircraft maintenance or prop maintenance experience
- Experience in MRO, assembly, or production environments
- A&P License or equivalent 1-3 years of mechanical aircraft experience
- Ability to interpret and follow aircraft manuals, technical documents, and other directions
- Ability to use hand tools, micrometers, air gages, and other special tools
- Proficiency with major software programs, e.g., Made to Manage, MS Office Suite
